Artist's Comments
I drew this for my Drawing II class at UNT. We were supposed to take something familiar and place an unfamiliar texture on it. So I put a melted wax texture on a hand. It was supposed to make someone feel uncomfortable to look at it. It made -me- feel uncomfortable, at least. But it has some kind of quality I like to look at.
Crit, please, I wanna know what you think!
Created with vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, kneaded eraser, and toilet paper (for blending!), using the additive-reductive method.
The hand looks good except the pinky looks like it's too spread out from the other fingers. I think it's pretty awesome though. Cool idea about the melting wax on hand.
