Well so much for keeping everyone updated. Sorry, folks.

    Good news, though.

I am in a jewelry exhibit in St. Petersburg, Florida, entitled "Neck-Lust and the Chocolatier". The opening is March 7th, so anyone near there should drop by! The event will be awesome. Also, there is a press gathering for the show titled "Necklust Uncovered", if anyone would like to meet many of the artists that submitted work.

Secondly, I will be accompanying my professor, Harlan Butt, and a team of artists from all over the USA to hold a symposium with artists and museum curators in China. The project is headed by Harlan, and created at the request of the Chinese government. This is such an exciting opportunity! CHINA!!!

So if anyone wants souvenirs, pipe up now or forever hold your peace =p

Also, if anyone is in the DFW area at the end of October, come on over to the Cora Stafford gallery and check out the combined senior show "We ARE Artists!" My friend Craig Vanderman (who can be easily found on myspace if you'd like to see his art. Hes VERY talented) and I, as well as a few other metalsmiths to be determined, are holding the combined show either the last week of october or the first week of november. Details will be posted later.

Along with this comes the notice that as soon as that particular show is over, I will pot photographs of the finished versions of the sculpture WIPs up, as well as pictures of the new sculptures in the show. More are coming, as well, because my part of the show ("Old Lamps for New") has a part two that will be displayed along with part one as soon as it is finished, along with two sentient beings representing each of the warring halves. This may take me into grad school but the concepts are there and goin strong. I intend fully to finish. It will be a great show, this and the finished show, and I will post more details later.

    Much <3,
    Lotusii

    IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!!!!

Do NOT under any circumstances join the club "Enchanted Forest". The person responding to emails is an inconsiderate asshole with no respect in the least.

If you are a member of this club, contact the owner and tell them this. To have been a former owner of said club and to be treated with such a huge lack of respect and rudeness is an insanely huge insult to my person, and I would appreciate some support in this.

Don't support assholes and jerks! Down with the man!

Er... yeah. Anyhow. Send a note to the owner if you like, or boycott the club, or do nothing at all. Just a warning that if you email them with some sort of trouble you'll be treated like a mentally challenged individual.

    Good day!

    Going in

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 21, 2007, 12:13 PM
I'm back, finally. Somewhat. I have at this point come back from Italy, moved twice, got a cat, been sick at least a dozen times, and suddenly realized that I must do my senior show this semester. Wohooo! So it's time to buckle down and get working. I've got several projects to do for metals, so you'll be seeing updates - hopefully I'll remember that much - and anyone who lives nar the University of North Texas is welcome to come to the show, once I get the details in concrete. FREE FOOD! XD

So I'm putting up a God awful picture of an abstract metal piece and a teaser of some things to come. Hopefully by the end of the semester you'll see what I've been up to lately. ^^

    <3,
    Anna
